Icon of Saints Sergius and Herman
The 11th of July, the day on which the
memory of Saints Sergiy and Herman of Valaam is celebrated, The service this year
was special in that the brotherhood served, not only with the Holy Archimandrite

from the icon situated above the Saints' shrine started durring the service.

was noticed, the spiritual father of the monastery celibate priest Geronty served
a thanksgiving service to Saints Sergiy and Herman. Myrrh effluence continued during
the thanksgiving service and for several subsequent days.
