Visiting Pavlovsk you will see the greatest palace and park ensemble of late XVIII - early XIX century, the summer residence of the Emperor Pavel I and his family. Here is one of the greatest landscape parks in Europe - its area is 600 hectares. The ensemble of the palace and the park had been creating for 50 years on the banks of a winding Slavyanka River. Architects: Ch.Kameron, V.Brenna, D.Kvarengi, A.Voronihin, K.Rossi; sculptors: M.Kozlovsky, I.Martos, I.Prokofiev, F.Gordeev, G.Deut-Malinovsky. The elegant gold and white palace, built on a high bank of Slavyanka, is seen from far points of the park and the town. Its three-storied central building, crowned by a flat dome on 64 columns is the earliest one by the time of construction and the smartest by decoration. It was created by Ch.Cameron in 80's of XVIII century.
In Big Column Hall of the palace there is a restaurant where it will be very pleasant to have lunch after a long walk in the palace's halls and park alleys and enjoy the courses of Russian and European cuisine.
